BIM coordination for an AMB public infrastructure project_
BIM coordination strategy
The brief_
A public-sector infrastructure project at metropolitan scale was being delivered by a multi-party supply chain — institutional client, lead contractor, trade specialists, and external coordination support. The challenge wasn't modelling: every party already had its own. The challenge was getting the models, the incident workflows, and the information delivery to converge on a coherent reference the institutional client could rely on.
What I did_
Set the BIM coordination strategy for the project. Worked across authoring platforms and contractual boundaries to align the information flow on openBIM standards. The role was less about modelling and more about translation: making information move between parties whose default contracts and tools weren't designed to talk to each other.
Outcome_
Coordinated information delivery across the project's supply chain, with an openBIM-based incident workflow accepted as the project standard. The kind of contribution that rarely appears in any single deliverable but shows up in the project's daily operation — fewer late surprises landing on the institutional client, more decisions taken on shared information instead of fragmented communication.
